MUCH ADO ABOUT OSINBAJO'S 'FAKE' KANO RALLY PHOTO

The All Progressives Congress, APC held its campaign rally in Kano state yesterday.

The vice-presidential candidate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo then took to twitter to share the photo below showing a real huge, massive crowd, saying it was the crowd waiting to receive the APC campaign team in Kano.

The photo immediately sparked controversy on social media as some Nigerians lambasted him, saying he was lying for using a photo from Reinhard Bonke's crusade and calling it the APC Crowd.

Some were disappointed that he had joined in the lies of politikerna.

They Circulated Reinhard Bonke Crowd and Call it Buhari Change Movement, But Our God no dey lie #WeTriumphStill pic.twitter.com/P3LBqg6eRg

And I ask,why will APC use Reinhard Bonke's crowd to show APC Rally in Kano?Ooh my God!this people have a penchant for lies..#WeTriumphStill

Realising he had made a mistake, the professor took to twitter once again to defend himself and correct the impression that he had joined in lying.

The crowd in & outside the stadium and towards the Emir's palace is mind blowing. But this image is not from Kano: pic.twitter.com/SZMyti04qF

According to him, the photo was sent by fellow Nigerians and he assumed it was from the rally.

I have to stress here, that some of the pictures we get, are sent by you, the Nigerian on the street. Again; thank you. #Change

To further redeem himself, he now shared real photos from the campaign rally to prove that a huge crowd really turned out and the people of Kano love the APC.

Here's one I can be sure of. I'm there after all. Hopefully, 'patriots' like @MObanikoro will see the #Change… pic.twitter.com/QIcjyJPgNI

The APC presidential campaign train also stormed Jigawa State yesterday ahead of the February 14 poll. Though the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has a majority of supporters in this state, the APC was received by a large crowd.
