PDP’s SPONSORED JUBILATION OVER VERDICT BASELESS, FRAUDULENT..... OSUN GOVT •...Our supporters excited about events at tribunal —PDP

OSUN State government, on Friday, accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state of making good its plot to create confusion around the premises of the High Court, Osogbo, where the Osun Election Petition Tribunal has been sitting and also sponsoring false jubilation over outcome of proceedings.
In a statement issued by the media aide to Governor Rauf Aregbesola, Mr Semiu Okanlawon, the government alleged that "a fairly large population of hoodlums loyal to the PDP actually stormed the premises of the court today and created confusion also around the Government House premises."

The statement recalled that the government had called on the security agencies in the state to view PDP's false accusation against Aregbesola two days ago as indication of their own plot to unleash violence on innocent people of Osun and the need to arrest anybody who breaches the peace of the state under whatever guise.
The statement said after the failure of the PDP's hoodlums to unleash violence on innocent people, they resorted to baseless and wild jubilations, claiming that the tribunal had declared their candidate winner of the August 9, 2014 governorship poll.
But, the PDP's publicity secretary, Prince Bola Ajao, said that their supporters were jubilating about the turn of events at the tribunal.

According to him, "it is true that the PDP and its supporters and well-wishers were excited by the turn of events at the tribunal, particularly their admission that Aregbesola's APC votes at the election is 234,971 as against the over 300,000 illegally recorded in their favour even in their written address, which was adopted before the tribunal.
"There is no wild jubilation anywhere. What is curious to Osun people is that four buses, loaded with thugs, paraded the streets of Osogbo," Ajao added.
Meanwhile, the Justice Elizabeth Ikpejime-led election tribunal handling the election petition has reserved judgment indefinitely in the petition brought before it by Senator Iyiola Omisore, the PDP governorship candidate in the election in the state.
