The President reportedly told the Peoples Democratic Party leaders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja that he would procure nomination form of the party before the deadline.
A committee for the presidential declaration has been set up. The committee whose duty is to fashion out the modality for the formal programme for the President's declaration is to be headed by Dr. Haliru Bello.
There is the possibility that the declaration will likely take pace between November 7 and 15.
Nigerians have long awaited the declaration of the President with so many Non Governmental organisations of different shades holding rallys across the different parts of the country canvassing for support for the President and to persuade him to declare to contest in the 2015 election.
It is a welcome development as his declaration will cause allignment, realignment and reshaping of political landscape of the country's polity in the succeeding weeks.
